GENERAL NOTE:
NB The evidence for the John MORCOM baptised in St Agnes on 15 March 1863 being the same as the John who married Mary HARVEY is circumstantial. The census records for Mary's sons mention PA, NJ and England as being the birth place of their father. The John baptised in St Agnes was in NJ in 1880.Also in NJ in 1870 was a relative Isaac MORCOM. Isaac's first child was born in Plymouth, Luzerne Co in 1873 and the family settled there. The New Jersey John's younger Edwin brother was in Kingston c.1910 and in Luzerne c.1920. William Leonard MORCOM, a grandson of John and Mary MORCOM, was born in Kingston c.1905. [It is possible that his father John THOMAS had moved to Kingston to live with or near his uncle Edwin after his own father's death in Mayfield in 1885 and his mother's remarriage c.1890] These are the only MORCOM families which have been found in these three closely adjacent towns
