NB THIS IS A TENTATIVE IDENTIFICATION OF THIS WILLIAM. It is based on the close association of his family with Sunny Corner, Gwennap between c.1841 and c.1869. He was the nephew of Diggory MORCOM (06442) whose three sons also had close links with the small group of about a dozen houses at Sunny Corner. See also the comments under Captain John MORCOM (05677), the son of William, about the apparent relationship in the USA between his family and that of Captain Elisha MORCOM (00189).Violet PATTERSON believed that this William was 17008 the son of John & Elizabeth nee WILLIAMS of which we know only that he was christened 3 March 1767 in Gwennap
