GENERAL NOTE:
More evidence needed that Henry was the husband of Edith. Henry probably died Q1 1901 in Wandsworth which fits with Edith being a widow in the 1901 census. But according to Free BMD the Henry MORCOMBE who married in Wandsworth in Q1 1883 [a good fit] married either Mary Ann Frances Ellen MacNAIR b Q1 1854 in St Luke. Why then is the 1901 widow named Edith MORCOMBE. Why have we got no record of six children who were deceased by 1911?Birth details of four children listed in 1911 suggests that the family was in Wandsworth most of the unrecorded time between 1983 and 1901.

There are only three Henry John MOR[E]COM[B][E]s in our One Name Study database. Two of these were born in Q2 & Q3 1881 in London. We are fairly confident that we have now listed the correct parents for each of these.
However deciding which Henry John died in Q2 1956 in Essex SW and which in Q2 1942 is much more difficult. Both have Southampton family connections but the one b. in Q3 1881 has far more family links with Essex SW
In addition to sharing the same name the two 1881 Henry John MORCOMBEs both have a paternal grandfathers named Charles & connections with Essex SW & Southampton. However, IF WE HAVE CORRECTLY IDENTIFIED their ancestral lines, they are not related.
