NOTE: Although there may be no connection to this William, it is worth noting that a John MORKOME married a Mary FFRANCIS on 8 Oct 1633 in Gwennap and bapt. a son William on 14 Mar 1636. Violet PATTERSON comments that William bapt 1636 could be the father of Hercules who married Margaret on 24 Nov 1666 and founded a very long line. This is not proved yet.Note also that there is a story in this family that their ancestor married a FFRANCIS heiress and hence the use of Francis as a female name in their family.
