The marriage is reported in the Maitland Mercury Sat 2 July 1892 p.7s____________________________________________________________St. John's Church, Vacy, was made the centre of a pretty and interesting scene about 11 a.m. yesterday morning, when Miss Jean Morcom, the youngest daughter of Mrs. Morcom, of Vacy, was united in wedlock to Mr. Casserly, of Beecroft, Sydney. The church was very daintily decorated with ferns and flowers by the friends of the bride, and the bride herself was a charming picture of gracefulness in her pretty dress of gray, with bridal wreath and veil. The bridegroom, of course, as is usual on such occasions, was only second in importance; but his tall, manly form, as he stood beside his dainty little bride and firmly pronounced his "I will," commanded the admiration of the spectators. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. Shaw, and Mrs.Walter Tucker, of Cardoness, officiated at the organ.' The church was well filled with the friends who had come to witness the marriage. The bridal pair, after participating in the wedding breakfast at Myrtle Cottage, the residence of the bride's kindred, left for Sydney, from whence they proceed to Brisbane for their bridal trip, and the good wishes of their numerous friends go with them.
