This was the only family in the 1881 National Surname Index for Engand and Wales who used (or were given!) this version of the name.It is not certain if the John Rosemargy of the 1871 Census is the same as John Rosemargy of the 1881 Census, but both ages and birth places are very similar. The two marriages may not involve the same man.If it is proved that the 1871 and the 1881 John are the same man, then it still needs to be established who were the parents of Richard J and Ann. Without this evidence, my tentative assumption is that the first and younger wife was the mother, and John was the father.
